First pictures posted to scrapbook from my sketchbook. Thought it better than posting to my featured section. Again, working hard to break down items into basic forms without worrying too much on detail. I will save the detail for actual projects.

I had been using a sketchbook that was 10 years old. Looking back at that stuff... Geeze. Even though I had taken such a long break, I still was far from where I was then. Both in ability and mindset. So I bought a new sketchbook. Numbered with a number 1 on the inside because I plan to fill many of these. It is something I have never really stuck to in the past. In the past it was merely paper where I just put whatever. This time I plan to actually use it for studies, ideas, etc. basically how I have seen a lot of others use theirs for. And as far as the studying part, I am really committing myself to learning and practicing. Something I ha

So, I haven't been doing this inking thing for too long. I have 3 pages of sequential art that I am working on right now. A little here and a little there. The last one I was saving because I thought it looked the coolest and figured by the time I got to it I would have a better idea on what I was doing. I was right. I felt everything was coming together and was most proud of how it was going. Then. In the first panel, I start to ink the female's face. Already have a lot inked on the page. Hey Brian.  I posted a video by Tim Vigil you might like.  It's in my Journal.  It's long (70 mins).  It's the last in a series of three.  The other two are at my Youtube channel and I'll post them later.
As always, great stuff! Thanks!!
Thanks for the fav! Batman emote
Hey Brian.  Good move changing your user name to your real name.  makes it much easier for people to find you!

Just thought I'd let you know that I FINALLY located an illustrated version of Gary Martin's book on scribd.com - the one were he has many different inkers tackle the same pages.  Very interesting.  Frankly, though, I was hoping it would be a little more technical about strokes.  The little bit at the beginning was okay, but I was hoping the whole book would be that way!  Lol.
Hey, Brian.  I inherited a drawing table that looks a lot like yours.  Has the same base, but no criss-cross supports.  Instead, has a straight bar across.  The board has two metal arcs to adjust the tilt; they look like they should work with a crank or locking mechanism on the supports, but those pieces are missing.

They guy who had the board jerry-rigged it to work.  I'm wondering if we have the same board?

I found a catalogue that pictures it new   sta.sh/01qbi6x1e73g
